Per NWS recommendation, no formal activation's are needed at this time and it's unlikely to be recommended for the rest of the day. There's currently a Winter storm advisory in affect for portions of the CWA, including Hennepin and Carver counties for the high wind and Lighter snowfall, rain totals, sometimes accompanied by wintry mix of precip. Small snow/ice accumulations of about a half an inch to 1 in. on grassy surfaces are expected throughout the metro, while the west metro should receive more enhanced wind-speeds. Strong gusty winds, coupled with blowing, drifting and falling snow should especially occur in very open areas. In turn that'll cause significantly lower/reduced visibilities and treacherous driving conditions..
Activation is not required, however the NWS requests spotters to report on snow totals/strong winds
